Friendly Football Match
The first ever friendly football match between Nepal United* and Aldershot Town XI, organised by Tamu Dhee Association UK in association with Aldershot Town FC was held on Sunday, 15th August at EBB stadium in Aldershot.
After the settlement of Gurkhas or Nepalese in the UK, It was the first significant event organized by the community to develop friendship between Nepalese Team and professional English Team. Players of both teams played very well. Destined to win, players of Nepal United* scored 1 against Aldershot Town XI. The goal scored by Yugal Rai (Jersey no. 10) of Nepal United on 39th minutes of first half, boosted the confidence of Nepal United players.
The game kicked off at 3 O’clock in the afternoon. Team captains of both teams had exchanged their souvenir prior to the match. On behalf of TDUK association, Nepal United* presented a plaque Card to Aldershot Town XI and Aldershot Town FC presented a football signed by their players as a mark of friendship.

Aldershot Town is a professional Football club of League two in the UK and Nepal United is a newly formed Nepalese football team of best players, selected from recently held Gurkha Cup 2010 by TD Association UK.
The President of Tamu Dhee Association UK Mr. Subasing Gurung BEM, who initiated the event said, “ Such kind of event organized in the community plays vital role to integrate Nepalese community within the British society and it will promote Nepalese football players in the UK.
The TDUK Association took the full responsibility to form the team “Nepal United*” and trained the players by professional coach.
